The view from this spot is perfect for people watching and keeping an eye on the sunset. The existing concrete porch is more for utility and the owner was looking for a place to share drinks, grow herbs in pots and spread out a bit. There were two options to show a wider area, but taking over an existing walkway, and another open version.
The mountain views are reason to change a lot about a house. This standard 1950's rambler has a stunning view and windows just a bit too short to see them. We tried a few styles, one more modern, the other "alpine". This was as much information as they needed for now, and will have images to think about going forward.
Another standard feature of a 1950's rambler is a narrow kitchen. We explored several ideas, some more feasible than others, but it was exciting to see the wheels turn as decades of design ideas came to life on paper. The design needs here are large, and this confirms that there is not easy solution, but they are continuing on their dreams to entertain in the kitchen.
A turn of the century home with a kitchen add on needs a spruce up. With the housing market so hot, why not see the potential. The owners don't use it much, being the order in type, but know that a more modern, finished look would increase the value greatly. They needed pictures to show cabinet manufacturers and girlfriends of the potential.
